overdrive Welcome to my blog. Here, you may read all of my reviews. That will take a good deal of time, as I have penned quite a large number of them. I advise you to start now. And don't forget, constantly offer me praise concerning how great I am at doing what I do!

Title: Top 5 games I'm currently playing (in other words, a generic progress report)
Posted: May 15, 2008 (02:36 PM)
1. RE4 -- nearing the end. tussling with Krauser right now and trying to get my reflexes down so I don't eat through my healing items in no time at all.

2. Mouryou Senki Madara -- making decent progress. Well, by "decent", I mean really slow progress as this is one of those old-school RPGs where you have to build levels and where a lot of random encounters are very damaging.

3. Zelda: Oracle of Seasons -- up to the final boss of the eighth dungeon, so this one's about over.

4. Zelda: Oracle of Ages -- on the path to the fourth dungeon.

5. Neutopia 2 -- pretty much through one dungeon.

And there you have it. The least inspiring "top something" list of the past 24 hours!

I bought Neutopia 2 not too long ago. Though I have yet to play it, Ruder has been very adamant about the game sucking.

I would be interested in seeing you review the game so I don't have to.

So far N2 seems to be really generic and hastily put together. I mean, in most rooms, enemies are programmed to attack at the same time. No shit! You'll be outside and see three pig-men walking around with pitchforks. They move around aimlessly and, all at the same time, thrust their weapon in front of them. It's just bizarre. No independent movement from anyone.

You should've played Seasons and Ages in order to get the combined quest. The double hand sword rules.

I played the first Neutopia, which was decent but definitely no Zelda. I demand a review for the second one.

While the AI does sound very silly, the worst aspect about Neutopia 2 that I heard was that you have to 'rub' your character against walls in order to find hidden passages/levers/whatever to advance in many of the dungeons. Wall rubbing, now that's an intriguing element.
