The company announced today that Assassin's Creed III, the fifth installment in the popular series about a fellow named Desmond who dives into the memories of his ancestors to kill people throughout various time periods, is on track to become the most pre-ordered game in Ubisoft's history.

The Wii controller's pointer was an important part of the first game, but the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the second game will most likely look significantly better than the Wii version.
