Skyrim's Creation Kit coming next week with a surprise

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim image

Bethesda today announced that Skyrim's Creation Kit will launch next week, along with a "special surprise."

Imagine the surprise on that above dude's face as he strolled along the road from Riften to Windhelm and ran into that beast. Hopefully Bethesda knocks our leather boots off just as emphatically this coming Tuesday, Feb. 7, when Skyrim's Creation Kit will launch for Steam users.

Pete Hines, Bethesda's vice president of public relations and marketing, made the announcement via Twitter earlier, promising the Creation Kit would simultaneously launch with a "special surprise."

"#whatcoulditbe!?" he asked in a language only spoken by Twitter users, called Hashtagtalkspeak (or something like that).

Indeed, what could it be? Another patch? Some Bethesda-created mods for the Skyrim community? Some on-the-house downloadable content? Your guess is as good as mine, and I'd love to read them below.

Fire away! (Just be careful with my knees.)
