Rayman Origins for 3DS finally dated

Those gorgeous 2D sprites are sure to look even better in 3D when the game launches on March 20th in North America and March 26th in Europe, a full four months after its HD console release. Expect to see an eShop demo some time between now and launch.

Rayman Origins has been available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for a while now, but we've always known that the 3DS version was eventually coming. As of today, we even know when it's coming.

If you want some Rayman Origins on the go but don't feel like waiting two whole months, you can wait one month for the Vita version, which will be available on the Vita's launch date of February 15th.

Considering the console versions have already had significant support, I'm hoping this one comes in at a $30 price-point! Otherwise, I'll have to wait until somebody has it on sale for $30 ;)

I wish the one launched earlier. I would've picked it up for my 3DS rather than my 360. I was hoping to get that beautiful art up in my face and stuff, you know?

I haven't really bothered to play console games in years (outside of Monster Hunter Tri!) so never picked up Origins for any of the consoles.

Let me know if the 3D blows you away. Maybe I'll give it a GameFly rental just to check it out.
