As we re-reported several days ago, Mass Effect 3 will be getting the demo treatment before its March 6 release. The said demo's release date will coincide with the launch of millions of heart-shaped arrows on Feb. 14.
Kicking off with an attack on planet Earth, the demo will give players a taste of the single player offering along with the franchise's new cooperative multiplayer mode. Also, it'll be one of the first demos on the Xbox Live Marketplace to feature full voice recognition functionality via Kinect, according to EA.
“We are excited to be able to give gamers an expansive demo that will put them right on the front lines of this all-out galactic war,” said Casey Hudson, the Mass Effect series' executive producer. “The entire scale of the game is bigger than anything we’ve ever done. With its intense action, deep customization and raw emotional power, Mass Effect 3 will deliver a spectacular action RPG experience to fans of the series and newcomers alike.”
The Mass Effect 3 demo, when it launches Feb. 14, will be available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. And is there really a better way to spend Valentine's Day? Especially if Ashley or Miranda are a part of the demo's single player offering?
Didn't think so.
