[Update] Mass Effect 3 demo confirmed via BioWare Twitter account
BioWare confirmed a demo for Mass Effect 3 would be arriving before the game's March 6 release.
Update: Okay, so I kind of messed up. A Mass Effect 3 demo is indeed on its way before the game's March 6 release -- but this wasn't announced yesterday. BioWare actually let this be known in October 2011. There will single player and multiplayer components in it too, as confirmed by this Twitter post.
Original Post: Let's be real. BioWare doesn't need a demo to sell Mass Effect 3, whether it's a pre-release demo or a post-release one. If you still need a demonstration of the game, well, pick up the first two games; they're dirt cheap by now, and they're, like, really good. Sci-fi roleplaying goodness at its finest.
But the folks at BioWare are givers, aren't they? The company confirmed a demo for Commander Shepard's assumptive swan song would be arriving before the game's March 6 release via its Twitter account today -- but that's all. No details were given regarding the demo's target release date, length, content, etc. Nonetheless, I am happy, and you should be too (well, unless you're still buried under the avalanche of holiday season titles we saw way back in 2011).
What would you like to see from Mass Effect 3's demo? A single player sampling? A trial run of its cooperative multiplayer mode? Some Jennifer Hale voiceover goodness? A bit of each? Don't get greedy, now.
We'll let you know more about the demo once we get some more officially official news.
