More changes coming to Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is a complete 3DS remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, and there have already been several announcements as to changes the game has gone through to better take advantage of the hardware. Should the info on one Japanese site selling the game prove accurate, there's even more yet to be announced.
According to the site, among the new features added to the 3D remake of MGS3 is the ability to walk while crouching, improving the ease with which Naked Snake can sneak past his enemies. Also listed are two new camera angles, including an over-the-shoulder view and an "FPS mode."
Previously announced additions to the game included a new camo option and gyro controls. The camo option will let players take pictures with their 3DS and then use the photo to create a fashionable new camo pattern for Snake to show off. The gyro controls give traversing bridges and branches a bit more depth by adding a tilt element to it all. Compared to these others, these rumored changes are much more substantial.
While it won't be certain until Konami makes an official announcement on the matter, the rumor makes sense. All would be in line with the sort of improvements Konami tends to make to Metal Gear Solid games in updated versions. Due to the recent Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D needs improvements like these to make it capable of competing with the HD release.
