If you bought the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 you may have noticed something was missing. EA had promised several times leading up to the game's launch that buyers of the PS3 version would get a sweet bonus: a free copy of Battlefield 1943.
If you bought the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3, you may have noticed something was missing. EA had promised several times leading up to the game's launch that buyers of the PS3 version would get a sweet bonus: a free copy of Battlefield 1943.
Well, PS3 Battlefield 3 fans were disappointed to learn that their promised download vouchers were nowhere to be found. So disappointed, in fact, that they launched a class action lawsuit about it, demanding their free games.
Nobody likes to be sued, especially when they're in the wrong, so EA has decided to give out those free Battlefield 1943 vouchers after all. Starting November 16th in Europe, December 10th in North America, and December 17th in Asia, PS3 Battlefield 3 owners will be able to obtain their vouchers by visiting the redemption page with their Origin ID after activated their Battlefield 3 Online Pass.
Maybe next time EA will think twice about making promises they don't intend to keep.
