Dante's Inferno Sequel Hinted by Writer's Biography

Dante's Inferno image

It seems that Dante's Inferno 2: Electric Boogaloo is likely in the works.

Have you ever heard of Joshua Rubin? Well, he's a writer with a web page. On that web page, you'll find a bio, listing some of Mr. Rubin's work. One such listing: "Recently, Joshua was the sole writer for a Major Unannounced Sequel from Visceral Studios at EA Games. (A hint...)"

Yes, that "hint" is a link to the Super Bowl trailer for Dante's Inferno. It seems that Dante's Inferno 2: Electric Boogaloo is likely in the works.

If EA is trying to follow The Divine Comedy, the sequel will be called Dante's Purgatorio and take place on the mountain of Purgatory, which was created from the displacement of rock when Lucifer fell from heaven. (He landed pretty hard, I guess.) The game would have seven levels, one for each terrace representing one of the seven deadly sins.

Of course, if EA was interested in following The Divine Comedy, they wouldn't have turned Dante into a knight and Inferno into a stage for a God of War reskin hack-and-slash.

Rhody likes to press the keys on his keyboard. Sometimes the resulting letters form strings of words that kind of make sense when you think about them for a moment. Most times they're just random gibberish that should be ignored. Ball-peen wobble glurk.
