Modern Warfare 3 Street Date Broken, Copies Sold on eBay
If you're absolutely dying to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a few days early and you feel that you have just too much money, you might be in luck. At least one Kmart seems to have accidentally broken the street date, and a few copies of the game have made their way to eBay.
If you're absolutely dying to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a few days early and you feel that you have just too much money, you might be in luck. At least one Kmart seems to have accidentally broken the street date, and a few copies of the game have made their way to eBay.
The official release date is is November 8th, but apparently some people want the game badly enough that they're willing to pay $1,725 to play it a few days early. Of course, with an estimated 3-4 business days for shipping, that copy likely won't actually get to the buyer until shortly after he could have walked into any Best Buy and picked one up legitimately, but hey, different people have different sets of priorities.
If you're one of the lucky few who managed to snag an early copy, be careful. According to Stephen Toulouse, playing online is not allowed yet, and doing so may "impact your account." On the plus side, you'll be able to blast through that single player campaign in an evening and sit and wait for a few days while your friends drool enviously.
