Luegoolu3go Studios announced today that Nogalius, its recent action game that was released on Steam this month, will next be making the trip to the MSX platform. The game will arrive in a classic retro-style cartridge this October.

Originally funded on Kickstarter by 246 backers, Nogalious lets players explore a dangerous environment and do battle with fearsome bosses. Our critic shared his impressions of the PC game in this review, where he noted that while the game looks and sounds great, inconsistent boss battles prevent the experience from playing at the same level as its charming visual appearance.

If you are anxious to play Nogalious in spite of that warning, perhaps just because it's neat to see another new MSX game, know that you can get the game with a box, manual and soundtrack. The package deal is currently available for €39.95 at this site.

"Those who have already pre-ordered a single copy of the title can obtain the full bundle just by paying the difference," notes today's press release. "The promotional code UPGRADE saves them from paying the shipping costs of the remaining assets."

If you don't have an MSX but you would still like to play the game and own its deluxe format, you can also go that route. Check out this page on the site, and maybe browse to see if there's a different bundle that suits your fancy. The game is also available alone, or in a deluxe edition.

Physical releases for unreleased games from yesteryear, and for new projects by dedicated developers, are all the rage as of late. Are there any such projects you've been following closely or would like to know more about?
