Fresh off the success of Hexologic, MythicOwl is already hard at work on its next project. That game, called Trancelation, is in development for PC and is expected to ship during the first quarter of 2019.

Trancelation is designed to help with language learning skills and word memorization, while allowing players to enjoy arcade game action. It mixes a "dasher" with education, with the latter being a goal MythicOwl strives for with each new release.

The game will feature an "Arcade" mode, if you're not interested in improving your mind, but think what you might be missing. Trancelation will even allow players to download lists from their favorite apps and share them with the online community.

"I love how technology helps us to learn languages," says Piotr Korgul, the developer responsible for Trancelation, "but as a gamer, I struggled to find a product that's simply 'best of both worlds' -- a game that improves my lingo skills and puts my agility skills to the test. So I decided to make such a game myself."

Though the game isn't due for another several months, the features it should include have coalesced to form the following list:
  • One of a kind mix of a classic arcade game and a language learning platform

  • Fast-paced, engaging gameplay set in a neon, fractal world

  • Word-association challenges to boost your linguistic skills

  • Challenges designed to help you recall foreign words immediately

  • Soundtrack that mixes best electronic and trance genres

  • Energetic atmosphere, drowned in neon esthetics

  • Possibility to create your own vocabulary lists and share them with others - infinite amounts of new content!
Trancelation is available to add to your wish list on Steam right now, if that's something you find helpful. Another potentially helpful thing is the teaser trailer embedded above, which should help you get a first look at the game in action. Just maybe don't watch it if epilepsy is a concern. There's a lot of flashing.
