Crytek today announced it is collaborating with Microsoft to bring Hunt: Showdown to the Xbox One platform, by way of the Xbox Game Preview service. Players can purchase the game before it is complete and provide feedback that affects its evolution toward a finished product.

Hunt: Showdown lets players take part in a bounty hunting process. Matches place ten players (who play alone or can pair up, as they prefer) in an environment and have them take out horrific monsters in Louisiana swamps. When a player takes a bounty, he becomes a target for every other Hunter on the map. Higher risk means bigger rewards, but here's the kicker: death is permanent.

"Bringing Hunt: Showdown to Xbox Game Preview means getting the game in front of a whole new audience," said the game's producer, Fatih Özbayram, "and we can’t wait to hear the feedback that Xbox players bring to the game and the community. This is another important step in taking our development to the next level, and we’re glad we can share this announcement with you."

Hunt: Showdown on Xbox Game Preview doesn't currently have a release date, but Crytek promised more details soon. If you would like all the details the company has seen fit to share thus far, check out the official Hunt: Showdown site.
