A deep, deep breath is required to name it.

Winner of my imaginary ‘Craziest RPG EVER’ award Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is getting a sequel. Tale of Game’s Studios (enemy of grammar fans worldwide) has announced that the snappily titled The Magical Realms of Tír na nŌg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barclay SaGa will shortly be hitting Kickstarter.

If you think that title only makes sense if you’ve played the first game, you’re wrong.

Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden was a free indie RPG that followed protagonist Charles Barkley, 90s NBA superstar, after he accidentally kills thousands of people with an attempt at the forbidden ‘Chaos Dunk.’ This sees him become trapped in a dystopian future where basketball is outlawed.

The sequel looks to be similarly outlandish. You’ll play as “X114JAM9, an amnesiac baller with no recollection of his past and no concept of his incredible b-ball destiny.” He’ll be teaming up with Cyberdwarf, who we met in the first game. He’s a dwarf from outer space. His skin is made from basketballs.

If you’ve yet to experience Barkley’s surreal adventures, Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is available for free on the If you think that title only makes sense if you’ve played the first game, you’re wrong.
