Metal Gear Solid 4 '25th Anniversary Edition' found on European retailer sites
Let's hope we see some cool extras.
A '25th Anniversary Edition' of Metal Gear Solid 4 has been spotted on European retailers ShopTo and Zavvi with a November 30 release date. Both sites have the same date, but very different prices. ShopTo is offering pre-orders for £15.85, discounted from a £19.99 MSRP, and Zavvi is asking £37.45.
Neither retailer detailed any additions to the new MGS4, but one would assume they would include the Trophies that were recently added to the game.
Before you comment, note: Metal Gear Solid 4 is NOT 25 years old yet. But, apparently the Metal Gear franchise is. MGS is a great and popular series, so I hope Konami does a bit more with the anniversary than just a re-release of MGS4. Last year's Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection was nice, and already felt fully featured. Who knows what tricks could be up Konami's sleeve? Let's hope it has something to do with the criminally under-appreciated Metal Gear Solid for Game Boy Color. That game is awesome and not nearly enough people have played it.
