That's a lot of clicking.

After smashing the record for fastest-selling PC game back when it launched in May, Diablo III has surpassed 10 million unites sold, according to an Activision earnings call held today, as reported by Joystiq.

"Year-to-date, Diablo III is the top-selling game overall, based on enough meta, digital and retail sales in North America and Europe," said Bobby Kotick, Activision's CEO, during the call.

To go along with its commercial success, Diablo III has enjoyed positive critical press, though our community members, holdthephone and Suskie, didn't think much of dungeon crawler.

Congratulations to the folks of Activision, Activision Publishing, Activision Blizzard and Blizzard, or whatever else it's called now-a-days for reaching this huge milestone. And if this bit of news makes you want to boot up Diablo III again, remember you'll have to install update 1.0.5, which added the "Monster Power System," which lets players adjust the difficulty of their enemies in Normal, Nightmare and Hell difficulty modes.
