God of War: Ascension demo packaged in Total Recall Blu-ray

Well, they had to get folks to buy the Total Recall remake's Blu-ray somehow.

A single player demo for next year's God of War: Ascension will be packaged with the Total Recall remake's Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, ensuring at least some folks will buy it, I guess.

The film, starring Colin Farrell, didn't do too well critically, so including some guaranteed Kratos action in its Blu-ray release seems like a smart move on Sony's behalf.

As mentioned, the demo will only consist of single-player gameplay, so you'll likely still have a Metal Gear-esque question mark above your head when it comes to the supposedly confusing multiplayer mode in Ascension. Nonetheless, some Kratos action is better than no Kratos action, so mark your calendars for Dec. 18, as that's the date you can pick up the demo.

And, er, the movie too.
