Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will have load screens, day/night cycles

Maybe Snake will have health, psyche and sleep gauges now.

We already knew Hideo Kojima's next Metal Gear game, the recently announced Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, would be an open world adventure. But we didn't know that open world will occasionally be interrupted by loading screens. Well, until today, of course, as a Eurogamer report broke the news.

Kojima told Eurogamer about the load screens just after the game's unveiling in Tokyo at a Metal Gear 25th anniversary event. The Metal Gear creator also discussed Ground Zeroes' day and night cycle, which he said would add a layer of replayability to the game due to differences in the world depending on the time of day; enemy troop patterns, for example, would be one of those differences.

And those are just two little details about Ground Zeroes, which -- aside from its reveal trailer -- we know very little about. We'll keep an eye out, of course, especially with the Tokyo Game Show getting closer and closer.
