Mario Kart 7 version 1.1 patch up now

Mario Kart 7 image

If you look at your 3DS right now, you might notice a tiny blue light. That's the latest firmware update, which comes with the ability to more easily patch retail games.

The first patch is for Mario Kart 7, which prevents the use of game-breaking shortcuts on stages such as Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu, and Bowser Castle 1. Starting tomorrow, the update will be mandatory before playing online.

To download the update, head into the eShop and take a peek at the bottom row of icons. Yes, you can download the update whether you've played the game or not. Once downloaded, the update appears in the Add-Ons screen, under Data Management in the settings. It also gets added to your download history forever and ever and ever.

Rhody likes to press the keys on his keyboard. Sometimes the resulting letters form strings of words that kind of make sense when you think about them for a moment. Most times they're just random gibberish that should be ignored. Ball-peen wobble glurk.
