Midnight Purple 3DS launching alongside Mario Tennis Open

Mario Tennis Open image

When the 3DS was announced at E3 2010, purple was one of the sexier colours shown off. That purple 3DS is now on its way, to be released the same day as Mario Tennis Open.

Midnight Purple will be the fifth 3DS colour available in North America not counting limited editions, joining Cosmo Black, Aqua Blue, Flame Red and Pearl Pink. Like the other versions, the Midnight Purple unit will carry an MSRP of $169.99.

It doesn't sound like Mario Tennis Open will actually come bundled with the system, but both the game and system launch May 20th.

Rhody likes to press the keys on his keyboard. Sometimes the resulting letters form strings of words that kind of make sense when you think about them for a moment. Most times they're just random gibberish that should be ignored. Ball-peen wobble glurk.
