Phantasy Star Online 2 was initially announced as a PC exclusive in Japan, but it sounds like it's getting released on an additional platform, as well.

Producer Sakai Satoshi revealed today in a video that there's one more version of the hotly anticipated MMORPG in the works, and it's for the Vita, of all platforms. Don't expect a scaled down alternate version, either. The Vita version will use the same servers as the PC version, meaning you'll be able to play as the same character in both.

Sadly, for now, neither version has been announced for release outside of Japan. In fact, there's still no release date for either Japanese version. The Vita is region free, though, so if you don't mind the Japanese text, importing remains an option for both Vita and PC players.
