Console Street Fighter X Tekken will get Vita characters, somehow

Street Fighter X Tekken image

The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken won't be out for some time now, and developers are taking that time to add a dozen new characters that don't appear in the console version. All hope is not lost for those of us who prefer fighting at home with an arcade stick, though.

As speculated, those twelve characters, Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley, and Blanka from Street Fighter, plus Alisa, Christie, Jack, Brian, Lars, and Lei from Tekken, will eventually be playable in console versions of the game, according to Capcom community manager Seth Killian at last night's LA launch party.

He didn't offer any details, just saying "We'll find a way to make sure that console fans are happy, as well," when asked about the subject. It's not clear if they'll be released as free or paid DLC, or if they'll simply release their standard "Super" version of the game as Capcom has a tendency to do.
