Street Fighter X Tekken gets tons of exclusive characters on Vita
The home console versions of Street Fighter X Tekken aren't too far off, but the Vita version won't be hitting shelves until this Fall. That gives Capcom plenty of time to add twelve exclusive new characters.
Yes, that's right, twelve. As part of the Street Fighter 25th anniversary celebrations this year, six new Street Fighter characters will be added to the roster: Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley, and Blanka. Of course, six new Street Fighter characters mean six new Tekken characters as well, bringing Alisa, Christie, Jack, Brian, Lars, and Lei.
Considering the Vita version will also exclusively feature Cole McGrath from InFamous and PlayStation's Japanese mascots, Toro and Kuro, these new additions bring the total to 15 exclusive characters. Of course, there's also Pac Man and Mega Man, who will be in the Vita and PS3 versions but not the Xbox 360 version.
There's still a good chance that these character will eventually be added to the home console versions via DLC or a "Super" version in line with Capcom's strong history of rereleasing fighting games a thousand times. This announcement probably doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in people planning to buy the game at launch.
