Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action has shipped and is now available for purchase at your local retail outlet, according to a press release issued earlier today by Buena Vista Games. The title is the follow-up to last year's movie-based release, and picks up where the original left off by exploring what may have happened if someone really did make a glorified movie about the plucky group of friends.
"Disney’s Chicken Little: Ace in Action provided an exciting opportunity for our team to expand beyond the ending of the film and create a brand new story with great new characters and vibrant space environments," said John Blackburn, vice president and general manager of Avalanche Software. "Action-hero Ace is ideally suited to star in this high-octane action game."
You may recall that Disney's Chicken Little was nominated by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences as a finalist for the prestigious Interactive Achievement Award in the category of Children’s Game of the Year. It didn't win, but Buena Vista Games is clearly interested in seeing if they can convince lightning to strike twice.
Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action will retail for $29.99 on the PS2 and DS, and will be available in December for $39.99 on the Wii.
