News > Viviendi Universal ships Robots Though the movie of the same name does not release in theatres until March 11, Vivendi Universal announced today that it has shipped Robots to retailers. There are six versions of the game, meaning it will be playable on the GameCube, Playstation 2, Xbox, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance and PC platforms.

Robots tells the story of a band of robots working together to overcome evil. The feature film is animated and is brought to us from 20th Centry Fox, the studio responsible for Ice Age.

"We have captured all of the fun, excitement, playful humor and visually engaging qualities of Robots in a video game that will appeal to kids and fans of the animated feature everywhere," said Philip W. O'Neil, Vivendi Universal's North American president. "Our multi-platform game will continue the excitement of what is sure to be the movie event of the Winter/Spring 2005."

The handheld versions of the game were developed by Griptonite Games, while the console and PC versions were crafted by Eurocom. On all platforms, the game has garnered an 'E' rating, meaning it's suitable for the whole family.

In the event that we get a reviewable copy of this game, look for a review soon. Otherwise, look for the game on store shelves in the next few days.
