About Me:

Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma.

9 months going before the true battle begins part 3

i'll try to make this entry a little shorter. my impressions so far and outlook on the PS3

PS3 - i wanted a PS3 more than the Wii at that time. somehow the presale date slipped under my radar and it was already too late. without a preorder there was no way i was going to camp out for it. it was still hard to find a PS3 for about a couple months then all of a sudden stores were stockpiling on them.

9 months going before the true battle begins part 2

(continuing where i left off..)

the first game i popped into the Wii was Wii Sports, naturally. It was a different experience but to me it was only just an appetizer for the main course. Twilight Princess was the game I was more hyped up about but after a few hours I wouldn't touch it again for the next 3 weeks. Instead all that time was spent playing the simple yet charming Wii Sports which I never thought would last this long. both of these games had enough momentum to carry Wii into the New Year. There were a few other games that kept me busy well into March but ever since then my time spent with Wii have been sporadic. Super Paper Mario was the last game I played and that was awhile ago.

9 months going in before the true battle begins pt. 1

and so i've got my PS3 and a Wii but not a 360 although i would love to get one. i've had my PS3 for 5 months and i had a Wii since launch. what do i think about them so far and how they will fare this coming holiday? here's a recap of sorts.

Wii - i would have never thought the Wii would become this popular. it's funny that now during the Summer, the employees at GameStop had to put a shoddy handwritten note on the door saying "Wii's Out of Stock: Please do not ask!" or something along those lines. i know, because i worked there during the winter season and i was always tired of saying this to every customer who wanted one and half of them still didn't want to believe me.

Manhunt 2

never cared enough to play the first one but i can't stand the way some are treating this game like it's going to make murderers out of people. it's just a goddamn game. for the developers to compromise the integrity of their work by cutting out some shit deemed offensive in order to get the game accepted would be appalling. i think the people looking forward to this game don't want a watered-down version. the gaming industry needs to take the next step on censorship and grow some balls. people should have a choice what they want or don't want to play and not have some industry watchdog dictate that for them. that's what the ratings are for.
