It's not all an elaborate ruse, some misguided attempt to establish for myself an online persona of dubious quality. I really am dull. If you don't find that unbearable, though, this is my blog that examines just how truly boring I can be.
Title: Any iPod users care to lend a hand? Posted: January 06, 2010 (01:14 AM)
I've downloaded a game for my iPod Touch and it shows up just fine on my computer, but I can't seem to get it moved over to my iPod. Or if I have somehow moved it over, I just can't tell how to access it. Actually, there are two games waiting for me to play them. This is kind of silly. Even my mother-in-law plays games on her iPod. I'm starting to feel stupid.

You have to 'sync' the game the same way you sync music. Make sure in your sync options you include games. Or, if you manage your syncing manually, make sure you get to something like a games pane, and put ticks next to the names of both games. Then, sync the ipod to your itunes again.

Thanks! I went to the syncing and because of what you said, I noticed that it had a tab for 'Applications,' which I opened. There was a checkbox there to allow me to sync applications. I had seen it showing on the left side before but it never did anything. Now it looks like the games finally installed. Mystery solved!

I found the iPod and iTunes difficult simply because everything is so simple, we tech savvy people go looking for the options.

That sounds like a good way to excuse my stupidity. I'll go with that!
The game that I finally was able to play, by the way, doesn't inspire much in the way of general praise. I think I'm becoming more difficult to please in my old age.

I bought a couple of games for my ipod nano - Texas Hold Em and Sonic the Hedgehog. I was never any good at Sonic on consoles, but was curious to see how it'd work on an ipod nano. Predictably, I found trying to play it this way was even more clumsy-making for me.
Texas Hold Em is extremely slick. Quite difficult poker, and the graphics of your opponents are cool.
