It's not all an elaborate ruse, some misguided attempt to establish for myself an online persona of dubious quality. I really am dull. If you don't find that unbearable, though, this is my blog that examines just how truly boring I can be.
Title: Interesting things at Best Buy Posted: January 01, 2006 (11:42 PM)
Today I went into Best Buy and they had a copy of Jade Empire that was in Spanish. It was the first time I'd ever seen a Spanish-language game just sitting on a store shelf, nestled among all the familiar English titles.
The other interesting thing was the big display they had for 50 Cent Bulletproof. It was all just too much for me to take, and I left the store without buying a game.

The most interesting thing I saw at a Best Buy was a cute girl that loved Dungeons & Dragons based PC RPGs. She was gushing over Neverwinter Knights and Baldur's Gate . . . and she was cute! CUTE! WOW!

Did you stop to stare at her, perplexed? Did you do so for long enough that she noticed your penetrating gaze and fled the store? If not, you have failed male nerds everywhere.

They actually sell Spanish versions of games seperately? That's stupid; they should do what the Prince of Persia did and include all the language tracks on a single disc.

I'm betting this Spanish copy was really Castillian, what the Spaniards call Spanish. For an Hispanic person to play that, it would be like an American person playing a game where all the people use British colloquialisms.

Spaceworlder, Jade Empire has a lot more voice acting than the PoPs.
And I guess I failed male nerds. I stared briefly in shock (and because she was YELLING really loud about Neverwinter Nights) and then went to the music section.

...no wonder this shit doesn't make any sense. I thought they were going for that whole Panzer Dragoon effect.
