Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Guide > Basics > Challenges

There are 140 "Challenges" in this game. Five challenges earn you a golden hammer, which you can use to clear one of the other challenges. If the square for a challenge is a lighter blue than the other squares, it will give you a golden hammer. Some challenges cannot be unlocked with hammers. Select a hammer to see which ones you can and cannot unlock with it. Clearing all of the challenges will earn you a nice 2,000,000G, which is probably more than you'll ever use.

Each challenge will earn you some reward, such as a custom move or a trophy. The challenges that are higher on the grid tend to be more difficult than lower challenges.

This is a list of all of the challenges, with advice for the tricky ones. They're organized by row and column. For example, "1.2" means the first row and second column, "1.7" means the first row and seventh column, "2.5" means the second row and fifth column, etc..

  • 1.1 Double Final Smasher Protection Badge: Clear Classic on intensity 9.0 without losing a life. (No small task. The tough part will be clearing the final boss gauntlet without dying. They're all pattern based, so customize a character to have high attack to take them out as quickly as possible. Master Fortress kind of screws this up, because slow, powerful characters are great for the bosses but not so great for the platforming level that follows. Keep this in mind when choosing a character.)
  • 1.2 Vampire Brawn Badge: As Lucina, get 8 KO's in Cruel Smash. (Lucina's counter move is the secret to this. If you do it close enough to an edge, it should send the attacker, along with anyone nearby, flying far enough to KO them. You won't be able to stand much punishment yourself, since it's Cruel Smash, so this may take a few tries.)
  • 1.3 100,000G: As Dr. Mario alone, reach Fever 8 or more times in a game of Trophy Rush. (This is probably impossible without a custom character. Boost his attack and speed as high as you can. Defence doesn't matter at all. If you have equipment that will do this while also giving you a melee weapon like a beam sword or a star rod, great. Preferably this will come from a piece of attack-boosting equipment, since it will likely come with a large stat penalty, and it's better if that penalty is to your defense. Stuff destroyed during fever doesn't build your fever meter, so leave any gold blocks you find until fever ends, but don't ignore them the whole time, because they'll still build your combo which will make each block you destroy worth more fever meter. Any coin and trophy blocks you destroy after fever ends will increase your fever meter, so hold off for a moment when fever is about to end.)
  • 1.4 Reaper Trophy: Get 4 KO's in Cruel Smash as Pit. (No counter move for Pit, unfortunately. You're going to want to rely on his back through. For some reason, Miis don't know how to recover from it if used right at the edge. This means you'll want to divide and conquer. Dodge a lot, starting by rolling to the right edge where a Mii should be. You'll stop between it and the ledge, so grab it, toss it back, and roll back the way you came. If you get hit, grab the ledge from below and roll past. Hopefully this will give you an opportunity to toss another Mii. It will probably take a few tries. If you normally grab with a grab button, maybe try grabbing with the A button while shielded to guard against incoming attacks as they get close.)
  • 1.5 Whomp Trophy: In Solo Target Blast stage 3, get 300,000 points as Pac-Man by bouncing the bomb off the back wall. (This means the wall directly behind you when you start, not the one "behind" the targets. This needs to be done in one round, meaning with one bomb. You can use either the large or the small bomb, so use the large second bomb. Hop over to the right side of it and do a charged side smash to send it to the left. Then get close and up smash it a few times, uncharged, until it's about 74%. When the timer is at 5, start charging a side smash, and unleash it fully charged. Hopefully, this will have it land nicely in the left chunk of the field, which will blow some blocks off to the right and set off a chain reaction of tiny bombs.)
  • 1.6 Critical Hitter Sword: Clear Solo Classic in 12 minutes on Intensity 9.0 as Marth. (Clearing it on 9.0 at all is the hard part. If you're feeling bold, make a character with high attack and speed at the expense of defence. This is also possible with standard Marth.)
  • 1.7 Smooth Lander Brawn Badge: Collect all of the custom special moves. (There are a few moves that are locked behind challenges, which you will need to clear for this one. The vast majority just show up regularly as custom parts, though. Play modes that reward you with lots of custom parts, like the Special Orders modes, if you want to grind towards this. You'll probably be better off letting it happen naturally, though.)
  • 1.8 Able Sisters Trophy: Collect all the custom Mii outfits. (A few of these are locked behind challenges. None of the challenges are particularly tough. The rest are collected randomly as custom parts.)
  • 1.9 Toadsworth Trophy: Get 8 or more KO's in Cruel Smash. (Counters are the easiest way. You might have an easier time as Ike or Little Mac, but there's a challenge for doing it as Lucina so you might as well kill two birds with one stone.)
  • 1.10 Majora's Mask Trophy: Collect all of the custom Mii headgear. (Like the outfits and moves, most will appear randomly as custom items, but some are tied to challenges. The toughest of which is clearing Classic on 7.0 or higher with everyone.)

  • 2.1 Saki Amamiya Trophy: Clear All-Star on Hard with all characters. (Good luck.)
  • 2.2 Moon Launcher Protection Badge: Destroy at total of 50,000 blocks in Trophy Rush. (This is a running total, obviously. Just play Trophy Rush a lot.)
  • 2.3 Deathborn Trophy: Clear True All-Star on Normal as Captain Falcon without healing between rounds. (No trick here. Be good as Captain Falcon. You can do this on Hard but why would you?)
  • 2.4 Magolor Trophy: Score 450,000 points in a single game of Target Blast on Stage 3. (You're basically going to need a Perfect, for clearing all of the red targets, to do this. Thankfully, you won't have to do that with one bomb. One easy-to-reproduce way is to use Ganondorf. Use a forward attack (not a smash) and immediately use a Wizard Punch, his neutral special. This will cause it to slide off a diagonal block and land in a little "bowl" spot. For round 2, use two forward attacks, a neutral attack, and a Wizard Punch. Do this quickly, so it will land below the highest bomb block, causing the block below it to tilt down a little. With a little luck, the resulting chain reaction involving both bomb blocks will be enough to clear the entire field of red targets.)
  • 2.5 Prince of Sable Trophy: Collect over 300,000G. (This does seem to mean 300,000G at once. Don't go crazy with spending gold, but don't be too conservative, either. You have to spend money to make money, after all. Many of the Event rewards are nice sums of gold, and you'll get 100,000 for clearing the challenge for reaching Fever 8 times with Dr. Mario in one Trophy Rush.)
  • 2.6 Hitter Agility Badge: Collect 700 unique trophies. (There are 714 trophies in this game. This means you'll need to unlock most, though not all of the trophies tied to Challenges. The easiest way to earn trophies is Trophy Rush, but once you have the majority of them, you should check the Trophy Shop regularly and buy whatever you see that you don't already own. There are special "Alt" trophies for each character that are only available in the Trophy Shop, so absolutely buy those whenever you see them. You can't reach 700 trophies without most of them.
  • 2.7 20,000G: Get a Perfect on every stage in Target Blast. (See above for a strategy for getting a perfect on Stage 3. Stage 2 is hilariously simple. Pick Ganondorf. In part 1, more forward one step, turn around and do a Wizard Punch, turning back towards the bomb during the animation. In part 2, simply do a fully charged side smash without moving. That's it. The first bomb will destroy all but one of the targets. The second bomb will destroy the last one with a flying block. Stage 1 is a bit more complicated but also a bit easier to pull off on your own. Pick Fox and get close to the bomb. Shoot the bomb until it's at 102% (the timing for this is a bit tricky) and then start charging your side smash as soon as the timer hits 4. Charge it all the way and you could clear all of the red targets in the top half and hopefully the ones along the right side as well. For round 2, get close again and shoot the bomb until it's at 54%. Wait about half a second after the timer hits 3 and start charging your side smash. Fully charge it to, hopefully, finish off the rest of the targets.)
  • 2.8 F.L.U.D.D Trophy: Clear Crazy Orders after 20 turns as Mario. (The rounds will get tougher as you go, but your real opponent here is the timer. You only have 10 minutes to do all 20, including the fight with Crazy Hand, so you'll have to average 30 seconds per round. 1 vs. 1 matches and giant battles where you have team mates are the fastest events. You can tell which stage you'll be fighting on by looking at the ticket, so if you're on a walk-off stage, feel free to fight metal characters. You can just lure them to the edge and toss them off in a few seconds. Don't get bold. As soon as the current turn is 20, pick Crazy Hand. You can actually do this REALLY easily if you have a piece of custom equipment that gives you a Home-Run Bat, and even easier if you combine it with something that gives you a faster bat swing. Beware: You'll have to fight both hands if you battle this long.)
  • 2.9 Waluigi Trophy: Score 85 or more in a single Rival Smash. (Your score in this mode is the difference between your KO's and your opponents, so simply getting 85 KO's won't cut it. Some people like to get on the top platform as Game & Watch and use his up special, followed by his down aerial, to attack enemies on the way up and the way down. Personally, I prefer the old tried and true method of going to the top platform as Yoshi, jumping or double jumping, and using his down special. Ignore your rival, for the most part, but you might want to go for the Smart Bombs that appear before he gets to them, because he seems to like them. Otherwise, he'll mostly just get knocked away by your ground pounds.)
  • 2.10 TAC Trophy: Collect all CD's. (CD's show up rarely in regular Smash battles, and more often in the Special Orders modes. If you want CD's specifically, Special Orders is the way to go. A few will have to be unlocked through Challenges, though, including beating Master Fortress a few times and that really stupid challenge of reclaiming stat boosts stolen by a Metroid in Smash Tour. Bleh.)

  • 3.1 Knuckle Joe Trophy: Clear Classic on 9.0 without any costumizations. (No equipment to make this one easier. You'll need to fight Master Fortress, and continuing even once will bump you down to 8.5. The Master Core bosses and Master Fortress are the tough parts. A heavy hitter will make the bosses easier, but he'll also make Master Fortress a bit tougher if you're not good at platforming with them. Charizard or King Dedede are fairly mobile as far as brutes go, and Charizard's down special is great for bosses. Ultimately, you'll probably be better off using whoever you are most comfortable with.)
  • 3.2 Koffing Trophy: Clear True All-Star in 6 minutes with Jigglypuff. (6 minutes equals about 50 seconds per round. Definitely attempt this on Easy. Basically stick to very heavy attacks and hope for the best. Rest can KO an enemy quickly, but it's hard to land and huge recovery time.)
  • 3.3 Master Fortress Second Wave CD: Clear Classic on Intensity 8.0 or higher with three characters. (This means beating Master Fortress with three characters. You can use custom characters for this, so beef up your attack to deal with those bosses more easily.)
  • 3.4 Flying Man Trophy: Start the final battle in Smash Tour with 10 fighters. (You can pick up fighters just laying around the boards, but you'll have to win a lot of matches in Smash Tour for this one. Set it to 25 turns and play on the small board to make more matches happen. The rest is just skill, though it's not really that hard. You can use multiple controllers to play against dummies that never do anything, making this much easier, but that's probably not necessary.)
  • 3.5 Samus (Dark Suit) Trophy: Clear True All-Star with Duck Hunt on Hard. (This is a tough one. Duck Hunt's speciality is projectiles, so use them to rack up damage before finishing them off with a smash attack. His side and up smashes have good range, especially when fully charged. His down smash launches enemies behind him, so it can KO them while Duck Hunt stands with his back to the edge. Basically, be good at playing as Duck Hunt.)
  • 3.6 King K. Rool Trophy: Hit the Sandbag 3,280 feet as Ganondorf. (Easy as pie. Start with three uncharged side smashes to the right, then turn left and use side tilt attacks repeatedly until time almost runs out. Make sure the sandbag is on the right side, face left, start a Wizard Punch, and turn during the animation. You'll crush that 3,280 feet easily.
  • 3.7 Mechonis Trophy: Clear True All-Star in 6 minutes as Shulk. (You can, and should, do this on Easy. This is about 50 seconds per round. Shulk's fifth Monado Art, Smash, can come in handy, but it would be handier if you fought everyone in a round at once. It will increase your launching power, but decrease your attack damage. Alternatively, his Buster art will do the opposite. Speed can come in handy, too. Shulk is a bit tricky to use, but you'll need a decent grasp of him to complete this challenge.)
  • 3.8 Kritter Trophy: Clear 3-Minute Smash after getting 120 KO's. (Yoshi's ground pound repeatedly on a high platform. Easy.)
  • 3.9 15,000G Clear True All-Star on Normal or Higher without healing items. (Yeah. Heavy hitters can finish everyone off in one or two hits and won't get knocked out so easily, but you'll probably just want to use whoever you're good with.)
  • 3.10 Galacta Knight Trophy: Complete the reward conditions for all of the Solo Events. (Check the Solo Events section if you're having trouble with any of them.)

  • 4.1 Gunship Trophy: Clear solo True All-Star Mode without recovering health between rounds as Zero Suit Samus. (Not much to say here except you can do it on Easy. There's a separate challenge for doing it on Normal with anyone, so if you want to knock them both out at the same time, go for it.)
  • 4.2 Shadow Trophy: Clear the "All-Star Battle: Secret" event on Hard. (See the Solo Events section for more info about this event.)
  • 4.3 Regal Crown Mii Headgear: Clear Classic at intensity 7.0 or higher with all characters. (This means beating all of Master Core's forms besides Master Fortress with everyone. It's tough, but doable. You can use custom versions of characters you have trouble with. If you're playing on 7.0 exactly, there's no room to get a game over, so if you want to kick it up a bit higher to give yourself some wiggle room, that is an option.)
  • 4.4 Souflee Trophy: Clear the "The FINAL Final Battle" event on Hard. (Take a look at the Solo Events section.)
  • 4.5 Countdown Drill: Play as Bowser Jr. In Stage 1 and get a score of 150,000 or more in a single game of Solo Target Blast. (You won't need a step-by-step guide for this one. As a general rule, try to knock the higher targets out with the first bomb and clean up the lower ones with the second bomb.)
  • 4.6 KO Healer Arm Cannon: Get a chain of at least 100 in Trophy Rush without taking any damage while playing alone and as Samus. (This is a bit tricky because most people take a little damage here and there without even noticing. Obviously stay away from explosives if you can't destroy them fast enough. Also watch out for anything heavier than a wooden box, because things like stone blocks will actually damage you a little if they fall on you. The chain of 100 doesn't have to be the first 100 blocks in the chain. You can take damage at, say, block number 23 and then take no more damage until after number 123 and you'll get this challenge.)
  • 4.7 Immortal Protection Badge: Clar All-Star on Hard difficulty with 8 or more characters. (Use whoever you're comfortable with. Ike and Duck Hunt have their own "clear on hard" challenges so they might as well be included in this. Another challenge will make you do it with everyone, though....)
  • 4.8 Black Knight Trophy: Clear True Solo All-Star mode on Hard as Ike.
  • 4.9 Mr. L Trophy: Play Solo Cruel Smash as Luigi and survive for 1 minute. (This is actually pretty easy if you abuse ledge grabs. Immediately hop off and grab onto a ledge. If there are Miis above you, attack to knock them away and then hop back off the ledge. If there are no Miis above you, just hop off the ledge and grab it again. Do this for a minute to complete the challenge. It's safer to approach the ledge from below than from the side or above.)
  • 4.10 Daisy (Baseball) Trophy: Hit Sandbag 3280 feet or more in Home-Run Contest. (See the Ganondorf strategy above.)

  • 5.1 Desperate Specialist Agility Badge: Clear a Master Orders ticket with a difficulty rating of intense. (This will cost you 1000G, which isn't the type of money you necessarily want to throw away. Keep an eye out for one that you think you can handle, like maybe a horde battle, or a Home-Run Contest, because you know how to be awesome at Home-Run Contest with Ganondorf.)
  • 5.2 Soda Popinski Trophy: Clear Crazy Orders after 12 or more turns.
  • 5.3 Dixie Kong Trophy: Use Diddy Kong and KO your rival 3 or more times in single Rival Smash. (Easier said than done. There's no real strategy for this, except focus on the evil Diddy while watching out for the Miis. You don't have to actually beat him in KO's. Just KO him three times.)
  • 5.4 Perfect Shield Helper Brawn Badge: Clear True All-Star on Hard difficulty.
  • 5.5 Unharmed Attacker Agility Badge: Get 120 or more KO's in Endless Smash. (Use Yoshi. Ground pound one of the platforms repeatedly. Get a bajillion KO's. Profit.)
  • 5.6 Master Fortress First Wave CD: Clear Solo Classic at intensity 8.0 or higher with 2 or more characters. (You'll have to defeat Master Fortress with two characters of your choice. You can use custom characters if you want.)
  • 5.7 Fire Kirby Trophy: Clear the "Kirby's Crazy Appetite" event on Hard. (See the Solo Events section for advice for dealing with this terrible event.)
  • 5.8 Wonder-Yellow Trophy: Clear 10-Man Smash within 25 seconds with all characters. (Most characters can just use tilt attacks, but some will need smashes or specials. Fox in particular will have trouble one-hit-KO-ing with anything besides his down special at a very close range. This can even KO the giant Fox you'll fight at the end, but only if he's close to the edge. Keep in mind that anything that sends your enemy flying but gives them a chance to recover is too slow for this. Anything that isn't an instant kill is a failure. Any move that only weakens a Mii and doesn't knock it out is useless here.)
  • 5.9 Birdo Trophy: Clear Solo 3-Minute Smash after getting 100 or more KO's while playing as Mii Gunner. (This will be easier if you use a large Mii, since strength is affected by Mii size. Give it some attack and speed boosting equipment, too. Mii Gunner's side smash can attack several enemies at once, but it's slow. Stick to dash and down tilt attacks when you can, as these are quick but also pack a punch.)
  • 5.10 Commander Video Trophy: Get a chain of 300 or more in a single game of Trophy Rush. (This isn't very difficult, as long as you pour in the full 900 coins to play, which, honestly, you should be doing every time anyway.)

  • 6.1 Jeff Trophy: Play as Ness in Stage 3 and get a score of 200,000 or more in a single game of Solo Target Blast. (This is easy enough that I'm not going to give you detailed instructions. Just try to destroy the higher targets with the first bomb and the lower ones with the second bomb.
  • 6.2 Substitute Doll Trophy: Play as Meta Knight and get a score of 90 KO's or more in Solo Endless Smash. (Since it's endless, not every strike has to completely KO your opponent, but it help. No special advice here. This isn't really that tough.)
  • 6.3 5,000G: Get a Perfect on any stage in Target Blast. (See the above instructions for getting a perfect on every stage in Target Blast.)
  • 6.4 Special Flag Trophy + Golden Hammer: Clear all of the Solo events. (You can do this on Easy if you want.)
  • 6.5 King Dedede's Theme CD: Clear a Master Order on Hard or higher while playing as King Dedede. (If you're having trouble with this one, wait until you see something that's easy for Dedede in particular, like a Horde battle or Home-Run Contest.)
  • 6.6 Banzai Bill Trophy: Clear a solo 3-Minute Smash after getting 110 or more KO's while playing as Bowser. (Pretty much everything Bowser does is a great KO move in that mode, so just have fun with it. This isn't hard.)
  • 6.7 Dr. Mario Masterpiece: Clear Solo 10-Man Smash without taking any damage while playing as Dr. Mario.
  • 6.8 Krystal Trophy: Play along as Fox and get a Fever Rush 6 or more times in a single game of Trophy Rush. (If this is giving you problems, customize a Fox with higher attack and speed, and maybe a Beam Sword. This is doable with the standard Fox, though. Don't die, don't let bombs destroy gold blocks, don't destroy gold blocks when fever is already active, save a few coin and trophy blocks for after fever is over to build towards your next fever, and obviously play for the full allowable 2:30.)
  • 6.9 Ice Climbers Trophy: KO your rival 4 or more times in Rival Smash. (Tough. There's no real trick to it. Use who you're good with and don't let the Miis gang up on you while you're focusing on your rival.)
  • 6.10 Battle! (Reshiram/Zekrom) CD: Clear Crazy Orders after 10 or more turns while playing as Greninja.

  • 7.1 Trade-Off Attacker Protection Badge: Clear a Master Order on Very Hard difficulty or higher. (Look for something you can do, like a Home-Run Contest, if you're not confident in your battling ability.)
  • 7.2 DK Rap CD: Get a chain of at least 200 in Trophy Rush while playing alone as Donkey Kong
  • 7.3 Bionis Trophy: Get 3 or more Checkpoing Bonuses in Smash Tour. (Checkpoint Bonuses are when you pass all 5 checkpoints in a game of Smash Tour. Play with 25 turns on the small board to make this easy.)
  • 7.4 Multi-Man Melee 2 (Melee) CD: Clear Solo 100-Man Smash within 3 minutes while playing as Mii Swordfighter. (Make a huge Mii to make this easier, and give it some attack and speed equipment. Its up and down tilt attacks are quick and powerful enough to KO. Give it the Slash Launcher side and Power Thrust specials, too.
  • 7.5 Timmy & Tommy Trophy: Collect 300 unique trophies. (If, for some reason, you want ot get this ASAP, try Trophy Rush.)
  • 7.6 Dire Hydrant Custom Move (Pac-Man): Score at least 200,000 points in a single game of Target Blast on Stage 2. (200,000 points isn't that much. You won't need any special strategy for this.)
  • 7.7 Crazy Orders Pass: Defeat 12 or more fighters in a single Smash Tour. (Play on a small map with a lot of turns to make this easier.)
  • 7.8 2,000G: Place first in 5 or more battles in a single game of Smash Tour. (Again, a small map with lots of turns makes this easier.)
  • 7.9 Smash Ball Trophy: View every fighter's Final Smash. (This will happen naturally, but it's worth noting that Final Smashes done in Training mode count.)
  • 7.10 Crazy Orders Pass: Destroy 250 or more blocks in a single game of Trophy Rush.

  • 8.1 Duck Hunt Stage: Get 1 or more KO's in a single Solo Cruel Smash. (Play as someone with a counter move like Ike or... practically any newcomer. You probably won't last long, but you don't need to.)
  • 8.2 Mission Mode CD: Clear Solo Classic within 20 minutes while playing as Olimar. (20 minutes seems like a weird time limit because Classic doesn't take nearly that long, but anyway. You can bump the difficulty down for this if you want, but you probably won't have to.)
  • 8.3 Wolf Link Trophy: Play as Zelda in Stage 1 and get 150,000 or more in a single game of solo Target Blast.
  • 8.4 Full Steam Ahead (Spirit Tracks) CD: Clear Solo Classic at intensity 5.5 or higher playing as Wario without any customizations.
  • 8.5 Meloetta Pokemon: Clear Solo All-Star on Normal or higher as Lucario. (Hey, it didn't mention True All-Star. That means you can do this before unlocking all of the characters. It's faster and easier that way.
  • 8.6 Speed Skater Shoes: Clear Solo 100-Man Smash within 3 minutes while playing as Sonic. (Use side tilts when near enemies, dash attacks to approach distant enemies, and his side special when there are multiple enemies in front of you. This isn't tough.)
  • 8.7 Dr Light Trophy: Hit Sandbag between 1640 and 1656 feet in Solo Home-Run Contest while playing as ROB. (Seriously. Hopefully these very, very detailed instructions will help you out. Grab the bat, do a smash attack (31%), and when it flies over your head, do an uncharged up smash (46%), when it lands, do another uncharged up smash (62%, and it should be on the far right edge now), roll back, approach, and hit it with the bat twice WITHOUT tilting the control stick (68%) and then finally hit it with a smash attack before time runs out. The front of ROB's base should be just touching the inside of the circle part of the Smash logo on the ground, as pictured here.
  • 8.8 Conquest (Ablaze) CD: Play alone as Robin and get a Fever Rush 4 times or more in a single game of Trophy Rush.
  • 8.9 Xerneas Pokemon: Play as Pikachu and destroy 200 blocks in a single game of Trophy Rush.
  • 8.10 Gerudo Valley CD: Clear 10-Man Smash within 17 seconds. (This doesn't ask too much of you, but the absolute easiest way to do this is to play as Donkey Kong and continuously use his down special repeatedly where you're standing when you start. With a bit of luck, you can complete it in less than 10 seconds. 17 is no problem.

  • 9.1 Tetra Trophy: Play as Sheik and score 50 KO's or more in solo Endless Smash.
  • 9.2 Wonder-Green Trophy: Hit Sandbag between 1640 and 1656 feet in Home-Run Contest. (This very specific distance is still less specific than having to do it with ROB. See the ROB strategy above to knock both of these challenges out at once.)
  • 9.3 Snorlax Trophy: Clear the "Fitness Junkie" event on Normal or higher. (See the Solo Events section)
  • 9.4 Accele-Reflector Custom Move (Falco): Get a chain of at least 150 in Trophy Rush alone as Falco.
  • 9.5 Unharmed Speed Demon Agility Badge: Get a max combo of 50 or more in Training. (Basically anyone can get this. Go to any Omega stage and set the damage to 999%. Grab your opponent and mash the attack button to attack them while they're grabbed. They'll stay grabbed longer because they have higher damage. Different characters can pull off different numbers of hits this way, but I've never seen anyone do less than 50.)
  • 9.6 Earthbound Masterpiece: Hit Sandbag 1968 feet or more in Home-Run Contest. (This isn't tough, but you'll get a waaaaaaay higher score than this when you inevitably use the Ganondorf method described above or in the Home-Run Contest section.)
  • 9.7 Rikki Trophy: Use 18 or more Tour Items in a single game of Smash Tour. (This is doable even in a 15-turn game. You can use 2 Tour Items per turn, if you have them. One before you roll and one before you battle. You won't battle every single turn, and you won't have any Tour Items on your first turn, but if you just use a Tour Item whenever you have the opportunity, you'll probably get this in a short game and you'll definitely get it in a long game.)
  • 9.8 Ripping Boomerang Custom Move (Link): Play as Link and score 50 KO's or more in Solo Endless Smash.
  • 9.9 Flat Zone X Stage: Play alone as Mr. Game & Watch and destroy 100 blocks in a single game of Trophy Rush.
  • 9.10 Kirby's Adventure Masterpiece: Clear Solo Classic at intensity 5.5 or higher while playing as Kirby.

  • 10.1 In the Space-Pirate Ship CD: Play as Palutena in Stage 2 and score 80,000 or more in Solo Target Blast using the back wall. (The back wall means the left wall. Bounce the bomb off of it when you launch it. 80K isn't a very high score.)
  • 10.2 Ridley Trophy: Deal the final blow to a boss in Smash Tour. (Bosses appear as random events in Smash Tour. They're enemies like Ridley or Metal Face. Whoever deals the final blow wins. Make sure it's a human player.)
  • 10.3 Speed Crasher Agility Badge: Clear Crazy Orders after 5 or more turns.
  • 10.4 Star Wolf (Star Fox: Assault) CD: Get a score of more than 20 in a single Rival Smash. (This means score more than 20 points more than your rival.)
  • 10.5 Rock Hurl Custom Move (Charizard): Play as Charizard and get a score of 328 feet or more in Solo Home-Run Contest without using the bat. (Do as much damage as you can and eventually launch it with a charged side smash attack.)
  • 10.6 Super Mario Bros. 3 Medley CD: KO your rival 2 or more times in a single Rival Smash.
  • 10.7 Punch Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream Masterpiece: Clear the "No More Sparring Match" even on Normal or higher. (See the Solo Events section.)
  • 10.8 Title (Punch-Out!!) CD: Clear Solo Classic without losing a single life while playing as Little Mac. (You can do this on any difficulty.)
  • 10.9 Guiding Bow Custom Move (Dark Pit): Get a score of 25 or more in a single Rival Smash while playing as Dark Pit.
  • 10.10 Lor Starcutter Trophy: Play as Toon Link in Stage 2 and get a score of 120,000 or more in a single game of Solo Target Blast.

  • 11.1 Credits CD: Reveal the entire wall during the credits. (Hitting a name in the credits after Classic or All-Star mode will cause it to fly into the background and reveal whatever part of the image it hits. Reveal 100% of the image this way with any character. Characters with good aerial attacks have an easier time of this.)
  • 11.2 Master Core CD: Clear Classic at intensity 5.5 or higher.
  • 11.3 Title Theme (Wii Sports Resort) CD: Get a max combo of 30 or more in Training. (See the strategy above for getting a combo of 50 or more.)
  • 11.4 Yoshi Masterpiece: Clear Solo Classic while playing as Yoshi on any difficulty.
  • 11.5 Fancy Suit Mii Outfit: Clear 10-Man Smash within 25 seconds as anyone.
  • 11.6 Title/Ending (Super Mario World) CD: Play as Peach and hit Sandbag at least 1049 feet in Solo Home-Run Contest. (No special strategy required. Do as much damage as you can, grab the bat, and let 'er rip.)
  • 11.7 No-Flinch Smasher Protection Badge: Get 50 or more KO's in a single Endless Smash.
  • 11.8 Dr. Kawashima Trophy: Clear Classic without losing a single life. (This is obviously easier on easier difficulties. You have to do this as Little Mac for a separate challenge, so you might as well do this as him.)
  • 11.9 Hyper Smasher Brawn Badge: Clear All-Star on Normal or higher.
  • 11.10 Wii Fit Plus Medley CD: Clear 100-Man Smash within 3 minutes.

  • 12.1 Tricky Trophy: Clear the "Behind Enemy Lines" event. (See the Solo Events section.)
  • 12.2 Tetris: Type B CD + Golden Hammer: Clear 100-Man Smash as anyone.
  • 12.3 1,000G: Clear 3-Minute Smash after getting 60 or more KO's.
  • 12.4 Resetti Trophy: Have the game on for more than 10 hours.
  • 12.5 Master Hand Trophy + Golden Hammer: Clear Solo Classic at 2.0 intensity or more with 5 characters.
  • 12.6 Nimble Dodge Agility Badge: Collect 50 different special moves.
  • 12.7 Vs. Parasite Queen CD: Recover the stat boosts a Metroid stole from you in Smash Tour. (This one is terrible. Metroids show up randomly in Smash Tour. They'll attack the first person to touch them, stealing some of their stats, and the second person who touches them will defeat it and take the stat boosts. However, even if you're close enough to the Metroid after being attacked to reach it, there's a good chance one of your opponents is closer. The only two pieces of advice I can give you are to keep an Excite Bike tour item handy to double your dice roll when chasing the Metroid, and play with either other humans with whom you have a gentleman's agreement, or with imaginary friends, so the computer won't steal your stuff. You can tell they didn't think this challenge through because it's down here with the easy ones instead of way up top with the ridiculous ones.)
  • 12.8 Exploding Popgun Custom Move (Diddy Kong): Score at least 150,000 points in a single game of Target Blast on Stage 1.
  • 12.9 Dashing Assault Custom Move (Marth): Clear "The Falchion's Seal" event on Normal or higher. (See the Solo Events section.)
  • 12.10 Chomp Hat Headgear: Get a chain of 100 or more in a single game of Trophy Rush.

  • 13.1 Fighter Uniform Outfit: Clear Solo 10-Man Smash within 35 seconds while playing as a Mii Brawler. (Unlike the other Mii-specific Multi Man Smash challenges, you can probably pull this off with whatever Brawler you build.)
  • 13.2 Air Attacker Brawn Badge: Collect 15 different special moves.
  • 13.3 Rover Trophy + Golden Hammer: Clear Crazy Orders while playing as Villager. (You don't have to play much. Just a round, followed by the boss. That's kind of a waste of G/a pass, though.)
  • 13.4 Pokemon Stadium 2 Stage: Clear the "When Lightning Strikes" event. (See the Solo Events section.)
  • 13.5 Celeste Trophy: Collect 50 unique trophies.
  • 13.6 Smashville Stage: Clear the "Playing Tricks" event. (See the Solo Events section.)
  • 13.7 Tornado Hold Custom Move (Mega Man): Clear a Master Orders ticket while playing as Mega Man.
  • 13.8 Crazy Hand Trophy: Clear Crazy Orders. (Even one round followed by the Crazy Hand battle will do.)
  • 13.9 PAC-LAND Stage: Play all the maps in Smash Tour. (You don't have to win, just play on them.)
  • 13.10 Wii Fit U Trainer Trophy: Get a chain of at least 50 in Trophy Rush while playing alone as Wii Fit Trainer.

  • 14.1 100G: Clear 10-Man Smash.
  • 14.2 Rosalina in the Observatory/Luma's Theme CD: Clear a Master Orders ticket while playing as Rosalina & Luma.
  • 14.3 Crazy Orders Pass: Clear a Master Orders ticket.
  • 14.4 Nabbit Trophy: Bump into an enemy who appears on the board during Smash Tour.
  • 14.5 Peach's Crown Hat: Create a Mii Fighter in Custom. (One you import from the 3DS version won't work.)
  • 14.6 Shield Regenerator Protection Badge: Customize a fighter in Custom.
  • 14.7 Saharah Trophy: Create a stage in the Stage Builder.
  • 14.8 Mecha Suit Outfit: Bump into every opponent on the board in a single game of Smash Tour. (Keep mental track of who you have bumped into to start a fight. Bump into all three of your opponents for this.)
  • 14.9 Kongo Jungle 64 Stage: Clear the "The Original Heavyweights" event. (See the Solo Events section. This is actually the very first event you do.)
  • 14.10 Victini Pokemon + Golden Hammer: Clear All-Star. (You can do this without unlocking True All-Star. Do it with Lucario to complete two challenges at once.)
