Kirby: Triple Deluxe Guide > Story Mode > Royal Road - Eternal Dreamland

This stage is initially accessible only by besting Queen Sectonia in battle. You are taken here automatically, after your progress saves. A boss fight begins when the stage commences.

Boss: Sectonia Vine

You fight this battle a bit differently than normal. Kirby mounts a cannon, which you can control by tilting your handheld. You need to aim at the flower at the center of a patch of vines, then fire. If you fire while the flower is exposed, vines will peel away. Then three flowers will appear. As they open, launch Kirby toward them to eliminate them, one at a time. If you shoot when a flower isn't open, you'll take damage. If you wait too long, a flower will fire a pod that also damages you.

Once you destroy that set of three, a new set of five will appear. As you aim, keep in mind that a few flowers will snap open and shut before one finally stays open. You should get used to the rhythm, and that will make it easier to home in on the flower you should be trying to hit. It gets easier as you go, because there are fewer flowers to worry about.

When you destroy the group of five, there will temporarily be an opening at the center of the vine. Fire through that opening to win the fight.

Now you appear on a platform, near a 3D Warpstar. Hop onto it to ride into the backdrop. Make your way along several such ledges, just running to the next star to the left or right, until you reach the Waddle Dee. He'll throw you an Assist Star. Then you can start climbing toward the right, where you have your pick of numerous abilities.

Take the ability you like and advance to the right until you reach a star that you can ride to reach the final boss battle.

Boss: Queen Sectonia

Your foe is floating in the background, sending plants to do her bidding. They look like giant eyeballs floating within flower petals, and they're more dangerous than you look. They're also difficult to hit with some of your abilities, but they regularly produce stars and that can make the fight go much more smoothly.

The fight starts on a series of ledges. Move back and forth as the flowers attack, primarily by launching themselves at your current location every now and again. That's why moving around a lot helps.

When you deal enough damage, you'll be hauled to a set of three platforms. The middle position here is often the safest, since a lot of the enemy attacks crisscross the various ledges but rarely touch the middle one. You can stand there, sucking up stars that appear to your left or right, then jumping and firing them. When both flowers appear directly overhead as you stand on the middle ledge, though, it's time to move to one side or the other.

After you damage your enemies enough on that second set of platforms, you'll be taken to a third set and now you'll have to deal with four enemies at once. Here, there are the most unique patterns to worry about. The main boss in the background also gets involved, occasionally firing a wide laser at the foreground. Fortunately, you can float over it and most of the other attacks, then descend only when your enemies are in the foreground producing stars. Keep inhaling and firing stars at the flowers and they'll soon succumb at last.

Another scene follows, and then you'll go directly into yet another boss fight (this time, the final one).

Boss: Queen Sectonia

In the cutscene, you received the Miracle Fruit, and with it the Hypernova ability. It's time to put that to use now as you battle Queen Sectonia for the very last time.

As the fight begins, Queen Sectonia will fire a bunch of acorn missiles that will cruise toward you. Face them and use Hypernova to bring them all up against you. Then wait. A large missile will be fired next, and you have to repel it by firing the cluster you are carrying. The explosions won't harm Queen Sectonia, but they also won't harm you and that's the point.

Once an explosion occurs without doing much good, Queen Sectonia will get more creative. Her plants will form into ranks near the top of the screen, and one will home in on your location. Jump out of the way to the side, then use Hypernova to absorb the plant. Now the remaining plants will form a shield in front of Queen Sectonia as Kirby faces it to fire. This portion of the stage works like the cannon bit, meaning you need to aim at one of the flowers when it stops and is open. You'll take of a nice chunk of Queen Sectonia's life meter.

Repeat this process twice more and then it's down to just you and the flower, which will track your movements for a time and then fire a blue laser beam. Don't get caught in the blast. Instead, stand on the ledge and start using Hypernova. As the blast arrives, you'll see a prompt on-screen to rotate the d-pad in clockwise circles. Do that as you continue to use Hypernova, and you'll finally absorb the shot. Automatically, you'll release the pent up energy to defeat your adversary.

Once you win that battle, your progress is saved and you can enjoy the game's closing credits. Congratulations!

After the closing credits, you'll unlock the Theater, the Arena and Dededetour mode, which lets you play through as King Dedede.
