Kirby: Triple Deluxe Guide > Story Mode > Lollipop Land - Stage 1

From the entrance, descend along the wooden ledges while avoiding a few floating enemies and a guy near the very bottom that throws blades. To his lower right, you'll find a door.

Enter the door and you'll find yourself in a long horizontal area with a few enemies and blocks. In the background, a Waddle Dee is riding in a tank. It regularly shoots watermelon-striped, explosive shells your way. You should be able to easily stay to their left or right as you advance, and the shells will destroy obstacles on your behalf. Float up near the top of the screen for a Keychain also, if you like. Keep moving until you see a cracked wall. Kick at it while avoiding shells and you'll break it to reveal a Sun Stone.

Grab the stone and keep advancing right. You'll reach a door that takes you away from the tank. Head up a slope and grab an Assist Star from your friend. Just up the hill from there, you can gulp down a Parasol enemy, or drop through a ledge for the Whip ability. Continue past there to fight a mini-boss.

Mini-Boss: Grand Wheelie

This guy isn't so tough. He usually gives you plenty of time to avoid his moves. Before he charges, he likes to make a few increasingly high hops. Let him do that, then float overhead as he passes. Try to stick near the opposite edge of the screen, as he can also send out nuts and bolts in an arc.

When he gets to the far side of the screen, he'll usually spend some time circling to a halt. That's your chance to move in and lash the heck out of him with your Whip ability for a while. You can also inhale stars he produces and expel those to inflict damage.

Besides the regular charge, sometimes Grand Wheelie will lay on his side and start whirling, which means he'll move across the screen, alternating between the foreground and background so you have a good chance at avoiding him. He can also do the same while in the air, so be ready to avoid him in either case, then return to your assault when it's safe to do so.

Once Grand Wheelie is toast, keep moving right and you'll find food and then a door. Through that door, you'll find a slope. Start along it, watching out for the enemies with umbrellas and smaller versions of the mini-boss you just fought that may roll down toward you from the upper right. At the top of the slop, hop on the 3D Warpstar to jump to the background.

Advance left now, and ascend a hill in that direction. You'll have to avoid more of the same enemies. Make sure that you inhale and swallow the Wheel enemy, to gain that ability. At the top of the slope, you'll find two waiting doors. There are enemies positioned to either side of the first of those doors, while the other is out in the open. You need to first enter the door between that pair of spiked enemies, which you can safely do by rolling past the foe on the right using the Wheel ability (though you have to skid to a stop pretty fast to not simply keep going). Inside, roll right to trip a switch that will briefly open a stone gate in the background. Continue rolling and then hop on a 3D Warpstar, drop to the background, then roll quickly left under the gate to grab a Sun Stone. Exit out the door to the left to appear outside the door you entered a moment ago.

Now hop up through the overhead ledge, and from there jump to the door situated on a ledge to the upper left. You will appear in another area with a tank. Head left and break open a crate to obtain the Rare Keychain: Starship. Then turn around and advance to the right. Let the tank shots take out enemies as you go, rather than messing with them yourself. There's also a crumbled piece of walkway here. The tank's shots can remove that to reveal a 1up. Keep advancing and you'll also find another Keychain.

Not far right from there, you can drop down into a lower space and attack a bomb tile. It's important to take that action before you advance further to the right. Doing so will destroy blocks in the background and the tank will drop into a pit. Now, continue further right on the higher ground, safe at last from tank shots. You'll see brown blocks in the background, with a treasure chest. Continue right and you'll find a 3D Warpstar, and past it the area goal.

Take the star to the background area, and head left to open that chest. It contains a Sun Stone, the area's final one. Now head back right and use the star to warp back to the foreground. Jump up to the right and pass through the goal gate to exit the stage.
