I think you should do it.

I'm very interested in this one. Let's see!

I don't know how this garbage got an 8 here. I'd rather already be dead than playing this vomit.

I clicked that link, expecting to see some early Kenshiro footage and gripes about moving slowly. It would be easy to make FotNS: Ken's Rage look lame. Instead I saw Ra-Oh going to town, even going so far as to explode punks while atop his badical black horse.

Then they used its similarity to 99 Nights (which shows they don't know what the fuck they're going on about -- one is Gauntlet Evolved, the other is a beat 'em up) as an excuse to rail on modern Japanese game designers without providing any reasons why Japanese game design is bad, other than "this one Japanese dude said so", "Capcom is using Western developes", and "the new Lufia sucked".

I'll tell you what's wrong with modern game design, in all regions of the world: instead of pouring all their energy into one orgasmic experience along the lines of Contra Hard Corps, they're padding their games out to meet some "length in hours" target, turning a game like Halo Reach with 1 hour of cumulative excitement into a dreary 10-hour campaign. Designers should spend all that money on a 2 or 3 hour game and make me want to play it over and over -- that's good game design.

That's why multiplayer modes are so popular: they cut the shit that pervades singleplayer campaigns. Thank goodness some FPS developers are starting to see that -- even if I don't like the end result behind Modern Warfare 2, they had the right idea.

Anyway, this Noob Toob show demonstrates what's wrong with video reviewing today. The episodes are way too long -- 51 minutes is ridiculous -- they don't say anything of depth, and instead of using the video format to their advantage to help accentuate their points they waste it to show the hosts and random game footage, simply for the sake of having footage. Jesus Christ, someone give these guys a clue.

Or so I assume based on the two minutes I watched.

If you've had an orgasm while playing Ken's Rage, it was most probably a premature ejaculation aka you have a bad taste.

I never said I had an orgasm while playing Ken's Rage, although punching explosive barrels while playing as Mamiya brought me pretty close.

Zig: you summed up my issues with today's games perfectly. Everything is tediously overlong. But gamers think that's what they want. So many gamer acquaintances have complained to me about such and such a game's "short campaign" because the game "only" takes 5 hours to beat. What would an acceptable time be?? 50 hours? When will that arbitrary minimum threshold be reached? Such nonsense.
