You see, the world of Filgaia is the sort where skeletons lay bleached under relentless sunlight and like it because at least the demons are distracted by human flesh. Your human flesh to be specific, unless you pay attention.

After each defeat, they showed legitimate concerns their efforts might be destined to fail....but still pushed on, determined to succeed no matter what obstacles my characters threw in front of them. It was hard for me to not be impressed by their teamwork, diligence and utter dedication to accomplishing their tasks. The traits bestowed upon them by Sony almost made their villainy seem heroic.

Superficiality has rarely if ever bothered me in a woman, as much as today’s culture urges that it should, but I’d always believed it would bother me in a video game. After all, aren’t I supposed to be looking for depth there? Some unique appeal to make my investment of time worthwhile? This was my frame of mind until I picked up Wild Arms 3 -- a game that convinced me of the joys of the superficial and the gentle pleasure of the shallow.

The Wild Arms series has traditionally been an overrated series in my eyes. No offense to the fans, but the 1st game was above-average, but nothing special. It was your typical jaunt through a RPG with a few interesting elements, but there was nothing terribly memorable about it that would make it one of the better RPGs of all time.
