Staff review by Rob Hamilton (February 21, 2008) Without his ability-stealing powers, Kirby’s a pretty dull hero. He can gulp down some air and fly, he can spit that air at enemies and he can swallow them and their projectiles to either shoot at other foes or eat. And that’s all. He won’t pick up a sword or hammer. He can’t emit an freezing barrier to turn foes into blocks of ice. He’ll never transform into a fast-moving, laser-shooting UFO. Kirby might not simultaneously suck and blow, but those are about the only things he is capable of doing. |

Reader review by goldenvortex (October 02, 2005) If you’re looking for a perfect “pick up and play” title then Kirby’s Dream Land will happily fill that role. Reader review by phediuk (March 22, 2006) When people think Nintendo, people think Mario, or Zelda, or Metroid, or even Pokemon. These are all very highly-acclaimed, very well-known, and long-running series that each lay claim to some truly superb games. In the case of Super Mario Bros. 3 or Ocarina of Time, some may even say the best games ever made. |

Reader review by psychopenguin (February 01, 2007) I always assumed Kirby's Adventure was the first Kirby game, but it turns out the old cotton candy ball of fun had a previous adventure for the Game Boy. Unfortunately, the game is not a classic like its NES sequel was, but I still found myself having an enjoyable time progressing through each of Kirby Dream Land's five outstanding levels. |

Reader review by ratking (Date unavailable) One of the few Kirby games ever made in which you do not inherit the powers you consume. Of course you must remember this was one of the first games the pink-fluff-ball ever explored through. He still can puff up and float, and the enemy of King Dedede and Kracko are both in the game, so how bad could it be.... |
