Reader review by mariner (November 22, 2004) There's a scrumptious triple fudge sundae in front of you. Take a bite. Delicious, isn't it? Take another. Each taste is seemingly better than the last as you enter a state of fattening nirvana. But eventually, your brain decides enough is enough and starts to override your taste buds. Each new bite will become a chore, each new taste will start to sicken you. Besides, by this point all the ingredients have run together to create some sort of gooey sludge anyways. Reader review by overdrive (December 01, 2004) If you’ve never played a Mega Man game before and decide to start with this particular cartridge, you’ll probably feel compelled to scornfully look at the mediocre rating I’ve handed out and condemn me as a fool. Your blood may start boiling — you may even feel compelled to tell me your dog has more sense than I when it comes to video gaming. |

Reader review by psychopenguin (September 12, 2005) It's no secret that no one really likes Mega Man 6 as much as I do. One look at any review of it would be proof of that. I think the reason for this is simply that the over saturation of the Mega Man series toyed with people's emotions, because there is no way this is a bad game. Sure, it may just be more of the same stuff that the previous five games in the series provided, but if you take a minute and stop to think about it, you will realize that Capcom actually added a lot of new stuff that p... |

When a long running series continues to rehash the same format, at which point should casual fans revolt over repetitiveness? This is a question that has plagued the Mega Man series. It is obviously the most flagrant offender; it dwarves even Tomb Raider in terms of games featuring remarkably similar gameplay with little innovation.
