Ok, this is my 10th NES review so I thought I might as well do it on an NES veteran because these little guys are supposed to appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I thought that this game would be good since it was made by Nintendo and they thought it was good enough to put in a great game like Super Smash Bros Melee. What I found wasn't pretty. This was really disappointing. Nintendo made amazing games on the nes, unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

As I was playing through Super Smash Brothers: Melee the other day, the thought occurred to me on just what game the Ice Climbers were from anyway. It seemed like they were the only characters from the list I had never heard of. On further inspection I found out they had their own game on the NES, so I got me a copy and had a go. Now Ice Climbers is a very innovative approach at the platform genre, with its one unique trait of moving vertically, rather than horizontally. Your point...

I still fail to see why the general gaming population loves so many of these retro re-releases. I was looking through the “NES Classics” series (a.k.a the 'take advantage of our fan’s stupidity' series) and found the dreaded “Ice Climber” on the roster. Ice Climber was a bad game in 1983 so no matter how many times you try to repackage it and pimp it out today, it’s still going to suck.
