Insomniac used a seemingly flawless formula of bad-ass guns, huge explosions and stellar platforming to entrench the series among the industry's finest.

Reader review by Ness (January 16, 2008) In my opinion, the PS3 hasn’t had any exclusive games that appealed to me with the exception of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII which are still a long ways away. However, when I saw previews for the new Ratchet & Clank game and learned it was coming out in Fall 2007, I was excited. I played the demo at the Penny Arcade Expo in August and loved it. Reader review by OrpheusUK (April 14, 2008) Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is the latest in the Ratchet and Clank series of games from Insomniac. Exclusive to Sony the series has already seen three successful outings on the PS2 and one on the PSP. Tools of Destruction is the first game in the series to appear on the PS3 and, despite the change in platform, sticks to the tried and tested formula of the previous four games.
