Reader review by amlabella (September 17, 2006) Ever had the longing to travel through time? If so, you probably found it difficult; due to the fact most don’t know how to build a time machine. But don’t let your head hang in sorrow, there is one alternative. You could just play one of the greatest RPGs to ever grace video games. Vortexes and the space continuum may seem more appealing, but don’t let those thoughts deceive you. Chrono Trigger managed to revolutionize role-playing games, and stands the test of time to this day. |

Reader review by JoeTheDestroyer (September 25, 2011) There are many facets of this time traveling quest that make it one of Square's finest masterpieces, from lovable characters to an amazing soundtrack, but no one particular piece takes the center stage and begs for your attention above any other. Chrono Trigger is in a state of old school RPG equilibrium; it's balanced just right. |

Reader review by mortis765 (Date unavailable) Whenever I find a great Video Game, I totally engulf myself in it. I play it non-stop, think about when I sleep, and of course, draw stuff about it. Chrono Trigger is one of those games. Everything about this gem of a RPG is wonderful. |

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, after putting up a valiant, and arguably successful, fight against the competition put forth by the Sega Genesis, was getting ready to retire and make way for the next generation of video gaming consoles. The SNES had had a good run. Its library included some of the greatest games ever, and even to this day is considered the preferred console for the RPG gamer. |

Reader review by ratking (August 23, 2002) If you are a fan of the classic games, then most likely you have heard of Chrono Trigger. Very few games were more succesful and had more cult fans than one of Squares greatest accomplishes. Square is most known for their Final Fantasy series, however those are not the only RPG's they created. They also created Crono Trigger, as one of their last games for the SNES. It was a typical RPG, except that you could see your enemies before battle and it had an innovative time system. The idea for Crono... |
