Staff review by Michael Scott (November 13, 2005) So if Metroid Prime Pinball has taken its visual presentation a step further than most, does that mean to say its gameplay has been similarly endowed? Flipping Samus' morphball around the screen in search of bonus multipliers and basic game modes could have been fun. A full convergence of Metroid Prime sensibilities however, would be off the scale. |

Reader review by mrchupon (April 06, 2006) The amalgamation of genres so inherently different usually elicits a three-letter internet acronym from many a videogamer that begins with a "W" and ends with an "F". This is precisely the reception that Metroid Prime: Pinball got when it was announced, not only because Nintendo rolled up a first person adventure into a tiny pinball, but also because - well - "...it's just a pinball game." Reader review by mrmiyamoto (August 11, 2006) What sounds more insipid than a primitive pinball machine that creaks and groans, tantalizing you with its boringly enticing gameplay, simplistic concept, dry display and generally dull premise? Nothing, of course. But that doesn’t mean that a pinball game centered on the lively worlds of Metroid Prime can’t be a freaking riot to play. |
