I really don't see how Pokemon got so much praise... It really doesn't deserve it. Sure, it's not terrible, but it needs a lot of work in terms of gameplay. Sometimes when beating a trainer, they will ask to give you their number. If you agree, they will call you from time to time with hints of where to catch wild Pokémon. I just found this an annoyance, but it can also be an advantage.

With Pokemon Silver you will need to link up with Gold to catch all 250 of the Pokemon. In aspect this is what Pokemon is all about, and I love it. Looking back Pokemon Silver and Pokemon Gold respectively were probably the best games to sore onto the Gameboy Color, and although not technologically great games, the gameplay is what made Pokemon great.

The pinnacle of portable gaming is Pokémon. It doesn't matter what version, of the six, you're playing. It doesn't matter if you think Pokémon is nothing but a childish waste of time. The pinnacle of portable gaming is Pokémon.
