I have been a major fan of professional wrestling since I was around ten years old, so of course I’ve played nearly all of the wrestling games released on any console. From the old SNES titles to the newer Smackdown! games, I have spent my share of time in the squared circle. That being said, I have never played a wrestling game as entertaining, addictive, or long-lasting as WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64.

It is a timeless wrestling game -- one with a still faithful following, one with a generation of devotees steadfast that it has not yet been eclipsed -- that reminds us how mortal we are.

It's no secret that I am a huge wrestling fan. Despite the fact I have suddenly become disinterested due to the stupid storylines and lack of any sort of continuance, I still enjoy watching wrestling. There has been a sudden explosion of popularity in recent years for the ''sport'', therefore, it comes as no surprise that a ton of wrestling games have been released lately.
