Nothing was new in the Mushroom Kingdom. The friendly Princess Toadstool had invited Mario the Italian plumber to the castle for some cake, and Mario couldn't resist. Eagerly jumping out of the large green pipe, he noticed that the landscape was slightly different--and that he could move in three dimensions. Mario, eager to stretch his legs, decided to jump around a little bit and kill some time. And he certainly did jump, easily leaping higher than the average human could dream of. However, thi...

Ah, to be a plumber! To wake every morning, the sun swimming lazily through a cheery blue sky, and know that somewhere out there is a sticky brown blockage with your name on it! These lucky folks have the privilege of doing a job that the less fortunate of us would gladly do for free, and get paid exorbitant rates for that privilege! To be a plumber! To unclog! To tighten! To show alluring portions of one’s buttocks!

In 1985, Mario ushered in a new era of gaming. The platformer genre moved beyond the limited scope of Pitfall or Jungle Hunt as the original Super Mario Bros shattered the old way of playing these games. It set the standard, and every platformer afterward owed its thanks to this strange plumber. Eleven years later, Nintendo did it again. Once again, an entirely new style of games was created when Super Mario 64 burst onto the scene, and again the industry followed in its footsteps. But this time...

A long time ago, in a far away kingdom filled with mushroom hill tops, green pipes, and coins as far as the eye can see, there was a man named Mario. This plumber, sporting a killer mustache, overalls, and a red hat, time and time again saved the Mushroom Kingdom from the diabolical Bowser, a towering turtle that has a huge obsession with kidnapping a princess. Mario had plenty of help during these adventures, but that didn't seem to matter to him, since he was so intent on hogging all the glory...

Super Mario 64 did a move that few would've expected, and that was switching to a 3D type of game. Instead of basically depending of jump, Super Mario 64 is an exploring game. Really the only thing similiar with the classic Mario and this one, is the fact that Mario/Peach/and Bowser are in it. However with all these changes Super Mario 64 is definitely a great game, and met with much success when it was released with the N64. And well, it better have bee good, cause it was the only game at the r...

Super Mario 64 was the very first game I got when I got Nintendo64, and it was the best, considering the technology the producers had when they produced SM64. I always rate and compare games based on other N64 games, not NES or SNES or Genesis games. This game, in my opinion, well deserves a ten out of ten, everything about it's awesome, but the fact that you have to collect one hundred twenty stars kinda puzzles me, why do you have to? You can get to Yoshi without all one hundred twenty, and it...

Wow... Around nine years ago, I remember going on certain video game websites that have well than went under since then, downloading movies of Super Mario 64 on my highly slow 28k modem, waiting a good hour for a thirty second clip to download completely. The movie was of the stage Tiny-Huge Island, and Mario was riding around on a Koopa shell over the lush ocean that surrounded the stage into the distance. “By God...” I mumbled, in amazement. The day that I played it, inside of an import game s...
