Staff review by Mike Suskie (August 05, 2008) Kirby’s Dream Land may have been short and easy, but it was never boring, with levels often vertically oriented to take advantage of Kirby’s flight capabilities. Kirby can still fly here (though the ability is more limited), but most of these stages could be completed by any generic platformer star: Walk forward, defeat a few enemies, jump a few times, move on. And damn, is Kirby ever slow. You’ve got to double-tap a direction on the d-pad just to make him bolt at an adequate pace, and even then there’s the unwavering sense that he’s wading through invisible mashed potatoes. |

Reader review by dagoss (August 05, 2008) I must confess a predisposition to certain things that we in the west generally consider sickeningly adorable. The very idea of a pink, balloon-like creature with stubby little arms and those cute little eyes just makes me want to run out and hug something. Reader review by meeptroid (December 09, 2004) Once a Kirby game is released, you know it’s going to drift away from the pack. It’s going to be innovative, it’s going to be simple, it’s going to be clean, and you know it’s going to be fun to play, even if all the other aspects fall to pieces. It’s just that trademark stability that motivates my purchase. No Kirby games have let me down thus far, and as you can already guess from this blatant presentation, this one bears no exceptions. |

Reader review by ratking (Date unavailable) It will probably take me the same amount of time write this game, as I did to beat the game. Ok, it's not that bad, but it is short and way to easy. Of course this seems to be the story of all Kirby games. However this game is really fun while it lasts, and puts a few innovative things into Kirby without changing the game. |
