Staff review by Rob Hamilton (September 14, 2007) Simply put, this game is HUGE — so large that a representation of one of America’s largest cities only takes up one corner of its world. Also in the game are San Fierro (San Francisco), Las Venturas (Las Vegas) and miles upon miles of the surrounding countryside, which is loaded with farms, villages, mountains and even a top-secret military base. And very little space is wasted. During the course of play, Carl will find himself doing either mandatory or optional missions that force him to cover virtually every square inch of this vast realm. |

Reader review by bigcj34 (September 08, 2007) A Grand Theft Auto game is self-explanatory really, a large (or in this case, massive) free-roaming world, run around killing pedestrians and gangster’s whilst slaloming with the police while completing missions, and stirring up massive controversy in the media at the same time. Reader review by heroofthewinds (May 04, 2005) How many of you out there enjoy a good kill’n? I know I do. In my spare time, I like to run people over, steal fighters from military bases to wreak havoc, and go hooker beat’n. Of course, if I really did this stuff I’d probably be strapped to a table getting a tube put in my arm. But, thankfully, that’s where Grand Theft Auto San Andreas comes in. Now you can enjoy all the fun of being a homicidal maniac without worrying about the long dirt nap. |

Reader review by True (July 22, 2005) Grand Theft Auto has perhaps the biggest cult following of any video game. Ever since part three, GTA has scorched its way across the gaming world as one of the most sought after and anticipated franchises ever. The game is so popular that copycats and mirrored images are being produced faster than a plague, but with its latest installment—San Andreas—Rockstar once again proves in this sick world of free-roaming death and mayhem they are still king. |
