Interesting review, Felix. And I thought this was going to be a decent game after we were talking about it.

Fun fact: The Taira clan was a family of samurai during the medieval period in Japan that was wiped out by its rivals (the Minamoto) in some civil war. I believe the event (if indeed it was real, and I think it was) was romanticized in the Tale of Heike which revolves entirely around the two clans and their struggle. I don't think the character's name is a mere coincidence.

It's not a mere coidence. This game was retitled as "The Genji and the Heike Clans" clans when it was released as part of a compilation on the Playstation.

And it probably still suffered from poor play control. What a disappointment.
