Great review that addressed the sort of stuff I was wondering, both from a specific gameplay perspective and from a broader one. I was interested in hearing how it treated the subject matter, after the hubbub about the commercial that seemed to glorify violence for the sake of violence. You covered everything with careful attention to those important details and you also went over the game's technical points without giving the impression that you were simply going through the motions. Your transitions were also solid for the most part, which made the one aside about that specific battle and YouTube work better. Good stuff!

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

I just finished this game on the PC last night in about 3 and a half hours. Some levels were on par with CoD4 but overall it wasn't as exciting as 4 was. Maybe it's because this all seemed familiar to me, dunno.

Haven't tried nazi zombie or co-op/multiplayer yet (watched a few videos on youtube/xfire and that's it), but so far I'd give it either an 8 or 9.

Thanks, Jason. I'm glad my investment in World at War turned out to be a good one.
