Jason, why aren't there any images to go along with this review? =T

Good read, regardless. I hope to check this game out some year.

I don't know... I'm still skeptical. Not that it matters, I would never buy an Xplosion360, but I've been hearing a lot more comments in the 7 range of things, and I'm minded to edge that way just from what I've read.

Of course, you never really know until you play a game, I'm just saying.

Goodness, JV, "Moleyneux's past sins"? He's one of THE games designers of our time... one slightly-below-par title hardly constitutes 'sins' does it?

The "7 range of things"? That's great to know.

I would have said "promotional sins" but it doesn't fit. That's what I was referring to, though: his sins while promoting the original Fable (which the body of the review was referencing).

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

HG's totally right, though. Fable was kind've a Daikatana as far as over-the-top muscle flexing went, and that NEVER works out well. Even in a good game, it always ruins it.

I agree with the Fable/Daikatana comparison. I played Fable 2 for an hour or so and it seemed MUCH better than the first game.
