Konami released both Castlevania: Bloodlines, and Contra: Hard Corps that same year,

Man, I miss competent Konami...

I always assumed this was on of the good ones. I, of course, did so without actually playing the game, but it looks so pretty! Sorry it was a dud, but genuinely appreciate you covering this one. Even if I had to bribe you.

For us. For them. For you.

Yes, we all do. Except for maybe... Konami?

This concludes our deal, by the way. There will be no other 32X review coming from me!

Nice one! I'm glad I skipped this game. I always came [....] this close to renting it as a kid, but figured it would be a waste of time.

I used to own this game on SNES but never got around to reviewing it cause I lost the game. I didnít bother rebuying it cause my opinion of it was much the same as yours, mainly due to the sluggish controls you described so well. Iím surprised I ever bothered to beat the game, but I did a few times. Think the coolest thing about The Mayan Adventure was that it included a secret in which you could play the original. And the pretty waterfalls, graphically. It always baffled me that they released a Pitfall game on something other than an Atari back then.

Wow, you actually bought this at the time. Did you sell your entire collection?

Ha, I still haven't ever sold a video game in my life yet, other than Metroid Fusion.

Out of all the games you could have sold, what was it about Metroid Fusion that prompted you to sell it? I remember that being a pretty darn good game!

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world

I tried to replay it recently and couldn't stomach it. Meanwhile, I had a ton of fun with Metroid Zero Mission. It's so much better.

Jason, It was still new at the time, so after I got frustrated with making it near the end and not being able to figure out how to make a particular jump, even after reading guides, I sold it so I could get something else on a whim. Think I got Donkey Kong for Game Boy in place of it. I did like Metroid Fusion pretty well but didnít love it.

Marc, psychopenguin used to recommend Metroid Zero Mission a lot to me and so did some others like VG. I never could find it by that time unfortunately. They said it was more like Super Metroid and that Iíd like it.
