This was an excellent review, but got bounced out of the running in ROTW for two small criticisms:

1) The first paragraph implies that this game is a sequel to Limbo, when it actually is not,

2) The first sentence of the last paragraph is inaccurate, as there are plenty of people, like myself, who have never played Limbo and don't care either way.

This review was a top contender in all other respects. It has great flow, flawless application of punctuation, etc. I actually thought that the quality of the writing was a tiny cut above the ponies review and it made me sad that I had to bounce it out of the running. In any other week it would have easily been a contender for first place.

Sigh. What a week.

Neither of those "inaccuracies" is actually an inaccuracy, though! I didn't say that Limbo was a predecessor to this game, only that it inspired it (which it rather clearly did, to the point where Limbo was even mentioned in marketing materials). In my conclusion, I said that there are two sorts of people in the world: those who are anxiously looking forward to experiences like the one Limbo provided, and those who are not. By your description, you fall squarely within the second group. But anyway, thanks for reading closely. I'm always grateful for readers who do that!

Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

Even if that's not what you intended with what you wrote, that's what came across to me as I read it nonetheless.

Sigh. I wasn't lying when I said that I really had to split hairs. Justifying my choices this week was not easy. I imagine I'll endure more arguments like this in the days to come.
