Warrior of Rome II is actually among the best strategy/tactics games for the Genesis, right up there with Warsong, Herzog Zwei, King's Bounty, and whatever else I'm forgetting.

It's true that the first Warrior of Rome installment was garbage, but the sequel is far superior. It may not suit everyone's taste, but if you like RTS games and you actually take the time to get into it, you'll find a masterfully crafted game that is truly one of the most addictive (and time-consuming) strategy games of the era. I've easily spent more hours playing Warrior of Rome II than any other Genesis title.

Go read the "Sega 16" website reviews of these two games to get a more detailed evaluation. But don't miss out on a great strategy game!!

Considering I played and wrote for this game literally 10 years ago, I have a difficult time refuting anything you said. Well, except for the first game. That was a childhood game of mine, and it truly does suck. Personally, I had a terrible experience based on what I remember from what I wrote about WoR2. At least you found entertainment value in the game.

I head spaceshit noises.
